SYDNEY SINGLE PARENTS - Our Challenge

The members of Parents Without Partners recognise the special needs of children in single parent families. They have a need for security and understanding in a loving, safe environment so they may grow emotionally and have the same prospects as if they had two parents living together. Meeting these needs is the reponsibility of parents no matter what their marital status.
 
There are many stresses facing single parents in the community that make it very difficult to provide nurturing experiences for ourselves and our children. There is a need for community assistance to help single parents meet the challenges of their special circumstance.
 
Parents Without Partners has been established to assist in meeting these needs by working together, exchanging ideas, providing mutual understanding, help and companionship in a relaxed social setting.
